Balaton, Minn., Senior Wins Covenant Award for Service

SIOUX FALLS - Janet Eisfeld, a senior from Balaton, Minn., is the recipient of the Augustana Covenant Award for Service.

The Augustana Covenant Awards, sponsored by Student Services, were established to reward students who exhibit the college's five fundamental values ­ Christian, Liberal Arts, Excellence, Community, and Service.

During her four years at Augustana, Janet has been active in the Augustana Education Association, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Deaf Awareness, Augustana Student Association, New Student Orientation, and theatre.

Janet is majoring in elementary education and education of the deaf and hard of hearing. A Dean's List student, she will graduate with summa cum laude distinction.

She is the daughter of Dwayne and Mary Eisfeld.
