Students Installed as Members of Augustana Student Association Senate

SIOUX FALLS, SD ­ Augustana College President Bruce R. Halverson today installed 23 students as members of the Augustana Student Association Senate. The ceremonies were held in the Chapel of Reconciliation. Elections were held earlier in the fall.

The ASA is a body designed to protect, inform, serve, represent, and lead the students of Augustana College. The ASA Senate is made up of senators from each class, a senator for each of the six residence halls, two off-campus senators, and one senator representing alternative housing.

Chris McClure (North Platte, NE) is the ASA president, Josh Andersen (Sioux Falls, SD) vice president, and Andrew Ellsworth (Madison, SD) treasurer. Ellsworth gave the sermon during today’s services. It was titled, “What is Guiding Your Leadership?”
