Theatre Presents The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged)
SIOUX FALLS All 36 of Shakespeare's plays in two hours or less?
Ya sure, ya betcha!
Augustana Theatre presents “The Complete Works of Shakespeare
(Abridged) by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield. In this
wild, fast romp through all of Shakespeare's works, three “average
Joes” explain the bard's work with blind passion and boundless
vivacity, but without a clue about the subject matter.
The outcome? Pure pandemonium and plain insanity.
Performances are September 18-20 and 25-27 at 7:30 p.m. and September
21 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mortenson Center main theatre. Tickets are
$7 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $3 for students and children.
Call 274-5320 for reservations.
This show is directed by Vickie Fuller, a graduate of South Dakota
State University.
“You may have seen ‘Complete Works' before, but you haven't seen
it Augie style,” she says. From puppets to swordplay to cheerleaders,
this play has it all.
The cast includes junior Amanda Conrad (Sioux Falls), sophomore
Joseph Gentzler (Indianola, IA), junior Robbie Heegel (Sioux Falls),
junior Tucker Kern (Windom, MN), junior Emily Lutt (Wayne, NE),
sophomore Andy Rhode (Edina, MN), and sophomore Kim Sonnichson
(Sioux Falls, SD). |
