Augustana Religion Students Present Papers at Regional Gathering

SIOUX FALLS - Two Augustana students presented papers at the Upper Midwest regional meeting of the American Academy of Religion and Society of Biblical Literature April 16 at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn.

Brian Smith, Sioux Falls, is a junior majoring in philosophy and religion. His paper was entitled, "Becoming God Through the Re-imaging of Self."

Corey Nuffer, Hills, Minn., is a senior majoring in philosophy and religion. His paper was entitled, The X-Men: A Group Hermeneutic in the Monomyth Realm of Popular Culture and Religion."

"They both did a wonderful job with their papers and this is an honor to present at this meeting," said Ann Pederson, professor of religion at Augustana.
