Students Elected to Leadership Positions
SIOUX FALLS - Leadership positions in Augustana College student organizations have been filled for the 2004-2005 school year. The positions were determined by election.
Kellie Furman, a junior from Britton, S.D., and Dylan Andersen, a sophomore from Fairmont, Minn., will co-chair the Concert and Lecture Committee. This committee is dedicated to bringing quality speakers and concerts of a fine arts nature to campus. Their motto is, Bringing the World to Augustana. Highlights from the 2003-2004 academic year included Cuban classical guitarist Ernesto Tamayo and award winning author Tim O'Brien.
Furman is the daughter of Dwayne and Caroline Furman. Andersen is the son of Steve and Lacinda Andersen.
Ali Ceynowa, a sophomore from Luverne, Minn., will chair the Union Board of Governors (UBG). UBG is Augustana's student entertainment programming board. It provides a wide range of activities and events for students on campus.
Ceynowa is the daughter of Dr. Timothy and Carol Ceynowa.
Becca Breitag, a junior from Sioux Falls, and Marta Madsen, a junior from Lincoln, Neb., co-chair New Student Orientation (NSO). NSO is Augustana's way of introducing new students to higher education and to the college way of living and learning.
Breitag is the daughter of Harold and Kristin Breitag. Madsen is the daughter of Galen and Janet Madsen.
Jaclyn Sutton and Rita Von Seggern co-chair the Viking Days Committee. Sutton is a junior from Brookings, S.D., and Von Seggern a junior from Scribner, Neb. The Viking Days Committee coordinates student activities for homecoming.
Sutton is the daughter of Larry and Sandra Sutton. Von Seggern is the daughter of Dean and Mary Von Seggern. |
