Center for Western Studies at Augustana College Hosts Lewis and Clark Art Show and Sale

SIOUX FALLS - The "Lewis and Clark Through Artists' Eyes 1804-2004" art show and sale is being hosted by the Center for Western Studies at Augustana College, June 11-13.

The premier showing and reception is Friday, June 11, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. A program begins at 7:45 p.m. Additional hours are Saturday, June 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The show and sale continues June 14 through September 4, 2004.

Among the contemporary artists invited are Ron Backer, Palm Desert, Calif.; Tom English, Great Falls, Mont.; Dave Paulley, Osage, Wyo.; Howard Friedland, Bozeman, Mont.; Harvey Rattey, Glendive, Mont.; Susan Blackwood, Bozeman, Mont.; Cory Wheeler, Billings, Mont.; Pamela Harr, Glendive, Mont.; and Jan Johansen, Anoka, Minn.

The Center for Western Studies is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
