Graumann Recipient of Covenant Award for Liberal Arts

SIOUX FALLS - Aaron Graumann, a senior from Sioux Falls majoring in chemistry and Spanish, is the recipient of the Augustana College Covenant Award for Liberal Arts.

Graumann has earned Dean's List honors each semester since he enrolled at Augustana and maintains a 3.79 grade point average. He is a two-time NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic first team choice, and was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America College Division Men's At-Large third team.

A member of Augustana's nationally ranked wrestling team, Graumann posted a 21-11 record a year ago at 125 pounds. He finished eighth in the Division II nationals. He is a three-time NCAA national qualifier and a two-time All-America.

He was elected king of Augustana's 2004 Viking Days homecoming celebrtation, serves on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the American Chemical Society, and the Spanish Club. He is the son of Patti and Paul Graumann.

The Covenant Awards were established to reward students who exhibit the college's five core values - Christian, Liberal Arts, Excellence, Community, Service.
