Augustana Student Collaborations Present ‘The Revue’
SIOUX FALLS – Augustana College Student Collaborations announce “The Revue” Saturday, May 14, at the Edith Mortenson Center.
“The Revue” is an enjoyable evening consisting of a silent auction, deserts, and a Broadway revue featuring the talents of Augustana students.
Included on the silent auction are art work from the Augustana community and various items donated by local businesses. The Broadway revue features songs from such musicals as Rent, South Pacific, Chicago, Singing in the Rain and many more enjoyable selections.
“It’s refreshing to see such a variety of talents come together to perform a spectacular evening of entertainment, and the best part is that it is all for Heifer International,” says director Sarah Mason, a freshman from Lincoln, Neb.
Profits from the student-driven event go to Heifer International, an organization based in Little Rock, Ark., committed to fight hunger in the long term by creating self-sufficient communities, who then pledge to help those around them. Across the globe, Heifer donors, volunteers, staff and project partners strive daily to build communities, distribute resources fairly, improve access to education and preserve the environment.
The silent auction begins at 6:00 p.m. with the Broadway revue starting at 6:30.
