Nursing Department Offering Parish Nurse Course

SIOUX FALLS – The Augustana College Department of Nursing's Parish Nursing Center is offering the Basic Parish Nurse Preparation Course June 20-24, 2005.

The course is designed for registered nurses who are interested in becoming parish nurses or assisting their congregations in initiating parish nursing.

Included in the course is information on the relationship of spiritual well-being and health, the history of the church in health and healing, the roles of the parish nurse, getting started, and developing and maintaining health programs within the congregation.

The course is endorsed by the International Parish Nurse Resource Center .
