Mary Toso Named Director of Alumni Relations

SIOUX FALLS - Mary Toso, a member of the Augustana College administration since 2000, has been named Director of Alumni Relations.

"Mary brings great leadership, energy, and enthusiasm to the position where strong relationships are built and many events are planned in order to move Augustana forward," said Brian MacGregor, Vice President for College Advancement.

Toso, who graduated from Augustana in 1990, has been Director of Student Activities since the fall of 2000. She is a native of Sioux Falls and a graduate of Lincoln High School. She majored in English and journalism at Augustana, and earned a master's degree with an emphasis in student affairs at Loyola University Chicago.

Prior to returning to Sioux Falls and Augustana, she was Director of Student Activities at DeVry Institute of Technology in Chicago, and the Parish Education Director at First Lutheran Church in Sioux City, Iowa.

"I'm excited to serve the college in this new way," she said. "I look forward to creating ways for our alumni to stay connected to Augustana."

Toso and her husband, Dr. Jonathan Toso, are the parents of four children - Rebecca 10, Jacob 6, Matthew 5, and Elizabeth 2.

Augustana is a liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
