Bethany Rasmussen Receives Mary Chilton DAR Scholarship
SIOUX FALLS – Bethany Rasmussen, who begins her junior year at Augustana this fall, is the recipient of the Mary Chilton DAR Scholarship for 2005-2006. The award is for $6,000.
Rasmussen, who is majoring in government and international affairs, is the daughter of Nancy and Mark Rasmussen of Hurley, S.D. She will be serving as vice president of the Augustana Student Association (ASA) for the 2005-2006 school year.
ASA is the student government of Augustana College and works in cooperation with the administration, faculty, staff, and Board of Trustees of the College to confront issues ranging from academic accreditation to buildings and grounds.
An active member of the Augustana community, Rasmussen’s interests include golf, volleyball, theatre, and choir.
Augustana College is recognized in U.S. News as a “top ten comprehensive liberal arts college.” The Templeton Guide also lists Augustana as a college that encourages character development. |
