Graumann Recipient of Stan Marshall Award
SIOUX FALLS – Augustana wrestler Aaron Graumann is the recipient of the North Central Conference’s Stan Marshall Award.
The award, named in memory of the longtime South Dakota State University athletic director, is given annually to one male and one female senior who distinguish themselves through academic performance, athletic ability, and community activities.
Selection is by the league’s institutional representatives from the NCC Honor Athletes. Each school selects one male and one female for the Honor Athlete recognition.
Graumann, a graduate of Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School, posted a 35-4 record on his way to winning the NCAA Division II 125-pound championship. He is a three-time All-American.
He maintains a 3.78 grade point average in chemistry and Spanish. He is an Augustana Covenant Award winner and was elected King of Viking Days 2004. He serves on the Augustana Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the American Chemical Society, and the Spanish Club. He is the son of Patti and Paul Graumann. |
