Graumann Earns ESPN Academic Honors

SIOUX FALLS – Aaron Graumann’s list of accomplishments continues to grow with his selection to the ESPN The Magazine’s Academic All-District VII College Division Men’s At-Large Team.

It’s the second time the Augustana standout has been named to the first team. He now moves to the Academic All-America ballot. That team will be announced June 14.

Graumann, a graduate of Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School, posted a 35-4 record at 125 pounds in 2004-05 and won the NCAA Division II national championship while leading the Vikings to runner-up honors in the team standings. He was a four-time national qualifier and a three-time All-American. He finished his collegiate eligibility with a 109-41 record.

A Spanish and chemistry major, Graumann is a Dean’s List student with a 3.78 grade point average. Earlier this month he was awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, and on May 23 received the North Central Conference’s Stan Marshall Award, the league’s top award given to a student-athlete.
