Professor's Dark Matter Experiment Featured

An article featuring an experiment on dark matter done in part by Dr. Drew Alton, assistant professor of physics, has been showcased in an October newsletter called Fermilab Today. Fermilab's mission is to advance the understanding of the fundamental nature of matter and energy.

Dr. Alton shared his thoughts on the experiment here:

"The DarkSide experiment has been under design and construction for the past few years, and recently submitted their first publication. This experiment is searching for signs of dark matter interacting on earth. While these first results didn't discover evidence for dark matter, they do provide evidence that the DarkSide experiment can run free of backgrounds for a long time."
