Women's Golf Wins Second Straight Regional Title

Augustana women's golf wins NCAA regional championships.

Augustana University women's golf shot a nine-over-par 297 in the third and final round of the NCAA Super Region Three Championship on Wednesday, May 4, winning the tournament by one stroke over Northeastern State University shooting 17-over-par 881 (301-283-297). Augustana's Kali Trautman won a playoff over Northeastern State's Kayla Schroeder with a birdie on the third playoff hole to win individual medalist honors.

Augustana's Women's Golf Team has now won two straight NCAA Super Region Three Championships and advances to the NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championship in Aurora, Colorado, May 18-21.

Augustana has won five region championships in program history and will compete for the national championship for the eighth time in the last nine seasons.

Trautman is just the third player in program history to earn individual medalist honors at the Super Region Three Championship, joining teammate Sierra Langlie who won the event as a freshman last season and Allie Ostrander who won the individual region title in 2010-11.
