Faculty Development Grant Proposal
2. Teaching and learning (pedagogy)
| Program Strategy |
2a. Across the life of this project, the college will generate
2-3 projects exploring nontraditional student learning experiences, upward
mobility programs in specific professions, e.g., nursing, or projects exploring
the learning implications of expanding the college's work with nontraditional
and older-than-average students. |
| Evaluation Activities |
These projects will need to include (develop) evaluative measures of
student learning for nontraditional students. These measures will likely
include pre-test and other baseline steps, measurements of progress across
academic programs, and completion rate. |
| Specific Intended Outcomes |
This goal will have been met when:
1. The College has established two to three departmentally based programs
supporting non-traditional students.
2. The College has put in place pedagogies and support mechanisms that
will enhance nontraditional student learning.
