Program Strategy

2b. Support each year for the Augustana Symposium, a showcase for undergraduate research projects.

Evaluation Activities

Each student participant in the symposium will write an "Impact on Learning" statement for his or her project, with the assistance of his or her faculty sponsor. Each faculty mentor will provide an evaluation to assess student learning of the research/presentation process.

Specific Intended Outcomes

This goal will have been met when:

1. The Augustana Symposium becomes a permanent addition to the undergraduate experience (through permanent funding).

2. Students' opportunities for undergraduate research have measurably expanded.
