6. Vocation of the college and for our students: Implications for learning

to include questions of mission, of liberal arts, and of college vocation.
||We will collect three years worth of data from the students in these
classes (as well as follow-ups with completers in later years), asking
for information on effectiveness and utility of the Capstone class as well
as an assessment of the impact of the course on student learning.
|Specific Intended Outcomes
||This goal will have been met when:
1. The capstone courses at Augustana College are revised to include
questions of mission, particularly of the liberal arts.
2. The Faculty Development Committee and the Capstone Committee will
stimulate study of senior and new student integrative courses at other
liberal arts colleges, with an eye for possible enrichment of Augustana's
NSS and Capstone course program.
