The Caring Ministries at Our Savior's is committed to serving the members of our congregation and people in our community with a variety of relational programs designed to provide some of the care needed in the transitions of life. We invite you to explore what we have to offer by clicking on the various program areas you find listed below that might touch your life with wholeness and healing. Parish Nursing

Stephen Ministry

Bereavement Ministry - A structured program of care for those who are dealing with loss in their life.

Phone Ministry - Volunteers connecting with those living alone via the phone.

Support Groups

Caring Friends Ministry -Volunteers who team up and visit our parishioners in nursing homes and homebound.

Elizabeth Ministry - a group of trained lay people who provide one to one support to other women during their childbearing years.

Devotion and training on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Pray and Play - a weekly Bible Study for mothers with young children and child care is provided on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. in the Sunshine Room.

Dinner to your Door - dinners provided by volunteers when needed for families in various transitions, like returning from the hospital, a new baby in the house, a death, etc.

Foot Care Clinic - clinics are offered monthly and include screening and assessment, education and treatment: toe nail clipping and filing, electric grinding of think nails and corn callus buffing. Cost: $20.

Healing Touch

Healing Screenings - done monthly and weekly depending on the screening. Screenings include: blood pressures, blood sugars, cholesterols, bone density testing, depression and other screenings as appropriate and needed.

Exchange Corner - gently used medical equipment donated to the church-by-church members for them to exchange to each other for their medical needs.

Parish Cruiser

Healthy Lifestyle Classes - nutrition and low impact exercise twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. in the Learning Center. Nutrition meets on Mondays at 9:30 a.m.

Weight Loss Classes - A Bible Study based weight loss program that runs in the fall and winter months.

Healing Garden - View our Healing Garden and take a moment to share some quiet time and meditate.

Summer Healing Garden Club with devotion at 9:00 a.m. on Thursdays.

Service of the Word for Healing - Worship services are held the third Tuesday evening of every other month starting in February each year at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Friendship Club - Fellowship and educational programs for those over 60 years of age meeting monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
