Augustana Students: Free
Admission: Regular ticket $25
Augustana's Diversity and Inclusion Office and the Chabad Jewish Center of South Dakota welcome speaker Eva Schloss, stepsister of Anne Frank, to campus on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Elmen Center. This event is likely to sell out early. Reserve your tickets today.
Eva Schloss was born in Vienna, Austria in 1929. As Hitler invaded Austria in 1938, she and her family fled to Holland. After the Germans invaded Holland in 1942, Eva’s family went into hiding. In May 1944, they were betrayed, captured by the Nazis and sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp where her family was killed. She is the childhood friend and stepsister of Anne Frank.
The Diversity Advocate Certification program at Augustana University provides participants with the tools needed to become change agents through the demonstrated use of acquired knowledge, support, and awareness, aimed at creating an inclusive environment.
