Campus Safety Reporting

Augustana requests that the Sioux Falls Police Department routinely patrol college-owned property to include parking lots. Local law enforcement agencies work closely with college personnel when necessary and it is not uncommon for police officers to visit the campus. Victims are encouraged to report crimes to Campus Safety. Campus Safety personnel will assist any individual wishing to contact the Sioux Falls Police.

Incidents involving a crime or any suspicious circumstance should be reported immediately to Campus Safety by calling ext. 4014.

The College will make timely and appropriate reports to the campus community when any crime may be considered to be a threat to students and employees. Information will be disseminated in a manner that will aid in the prevention of similar occurrences.

The College as a matter of procedure and public information collects and reports crime statistics. These statistics are published annually by the Dean of Students Office and will be available upon request. Augustana College acknowledges and supports the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act legislation.
