Augustana College offers a variety of dining options to meet the needs of residential students. Seven different meal plans are available, each providing unlimited seconds in the Ordal Dining Room, a full-service dining facility located on the second floor of the Morrison Commons. Meal plans also provide students with the flexibility to purchase additional dining room meals as needed, short order food and convenience store items, and pizza delivered from Domino’s.
The dining services department also operates The Viking Huddle, a retail dining, and convenience store facility, also located in the Morrison Commons. Students may either make cash purchases in the Huddle or use prepaid cash value credits from the student ID card called Flex Dollars and Munch Money.
The dining services staff will work with students with special dietary concerns in order to design a dining program that will meet their nutritional needs. Nutritional information about dining room menu items is available at each meal.
The parents of students who have residential meal plans ("traditional" or "block" plans) may dine free of charge with their student in the Ordal Dining Room during the academic year except on the following weekends (Friday evening through Sunday evening): Opening weekend of fall semester classes, Viking Days, Christmas Vespers, Family Weekend, and Commencement.
