I live in Solberg Hall with my husband, Justin Boerboom, and our puppy Charlie. We lived in East Hall last year as I finished up my Master’s degree program in Student Affairs Administration at South Dakota State University. In addition to working with students, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and meeting new people, learning about new things and seeing new places!
This year I can’t wait to get to know the residents of Solberg Hall and to run into the previous residents of East Hall in the Augie community! I am very excited to help freshmen make the transition into such a great place and to do some really fun things with them and the Solberg staff. I am also really looking forward to fulfilling my additional role at Augie – coordinating Residence Life Programming (where I get to help plan some of those really fun things). It is going to be another great year!

What has been a highlight of your being at Augustana?
My highlight has been the people. I have made some incredible friends who help make college fun.
Favorite campus activity?
I love the movie on the campus green. It is a great way to start the year!
Favorite commons meal?
My favorite commons meal is the bagel bar.
Why did you apply to be on Residence Life Staff and what are you looking the most forward to with your floormates next year?
I applied because I really enjoyed meeting all the freshman last year and I can’t wait for all the next freshman to move in this fall!

What has been a highlight of your being at Augustana?
Meeting lots of fun new people, making friends, stuff like that. Maybe just as much, though, I have enjoyed the self-discovery Augie has offered me—I feel like I have changed here, and I liked it!
Favorite campus activity?
Just chillaxin in the dorms. It is really tough for a dance or coffee house event to beat simply hanging out in someone’s room with a bunch of people watching a movie or something.
Favorite commons meal?
Hmm… I’d say grilled chicken Caesar salad (made to order, subway style) with a side plat e of pasta and meat sauce, topped off with some soft-serve ice cream.
Why did you apply to be on Residence Life Staff and what are you looking the most forward to with your floormates next year?
I would like to get to know the incoming frosh, and be part of that whole first-year experience thing. I am looking forward to… well, I guess getting to know my floormates, obviously, but we are going to have some sweet floor activities too.

What has been a highlight of your being at Augustana?
Meeting so many great people and developing amazing friendships I really appreciate the community of Augustana and Sioux Falls.
Favorite campus activity?
UBG Coffeehouse – it makes for a great study break I also enjoy going to CRU (Campus Crusades for Christ)
Favorite commons meal?
Anything made with buffalo chicken.
Why did you apply to be on Residence Life Staff and what are you looking the most forward to with your floormates next year?
Since the very beginning of the year, I knew I wanted to become some sort of leader on campus. I decided I would like to be a PA in the freshmen residence halls because I wanted to help incoming freshman have the best time possible into the college scene. I really look forward to helping my floormates get accustomed to college life and developing a great community between us all.

Egg, sausage, and cheese bagels and quesadillas.
Why did you apply to be on Residence Life Staff and what are you looking the most forward to with your floormates next year?
I applied because it seemed like all the current Pas really enjoy their job. I am looking forward to guiding my floormates through the 1st year of college because it is a lot of fun.

Going to “Under the Influence of Christ” (UTIC) on Thursdays, drinking coffee in the huddle, and playing intramurals.

Pasta with alfredo sauce and cherry tomatoes dipped in ranch dressing.
Why did you apply to be on Residence Life Staff and what are you looking the most forward to with your floormates next year?
I want to help create a fun environment here in Solbergg, assist new freshmen in transitioning to college and be available to meet individual needs.

Why did you apply to be on Residence Life Staff and what are you looking the most forward to with your floormates next year?
I wanted the opportunity to have an impact on the Augie experience of incoming freshman. I'm looking forward to a lot of girl's night and getting to know them.
