The 2007-08 Tuve Staff

Karina Stander – Tuve Hall Director/Coordinator of Volunteer Services

Karina Stander

Karina received her B.S. in Recreational Therapy and Sports Programming from the University from the University of North Dakota. While a student there she also played on the varsity soccer team and participated in intramural basketball and volleyball. In 2002, Karina moved to Sioux Falls to get her Master’s degree in counseling from Sioux Falls Seminary. After graduation she worked as a fitness trainer and began counseling middle school children who have a parent in prison. Karina will be starting her third year as the Hall Director of Tuve and the Coordinator of Volunteer Services. She enjoys painting, pottery, working out, reading and making new friends. Karina and her husband, Ryan, are both looking forward to another great year in Tuve.

When asked what she is looking forward to this year she responded, “I am excited about the people. On Augie’s campus there are so many great people to work with and it is a privilege to be a part of student’s lives. There is always some turnover in the people you interact with each year and I am looking forward to both the new and the continuing relationships. It is another year to be a part of a great educational institution.”
