The Constitution Of the Augustana Art Club

Article I Name
The name of this organization shall be Augustana Art Club.

Article II. Purpose
The purpose of Augustana Art Club is to support the community of visual artists at Augustana College and promote an appreciation and understanding of art to the greater community.

Article III. Membership
Membership is open to any Augustana student, faculty, and staff member. Membership is not limited to art majors or minors. No dues will be required to join.

Article IV Election of Officers
Any member is eligible to be nominated and elected for any office position. The office positions are President, Vice President, Secretary, Event Coordinators, and Exhibit Coordinator. Election is determined by majority vote of members present. The faculty advisor has one vote.

Article V Advising
The advisor to the Augustana Art Club will be appointed by the Chair of Visual Arts.

Article VI Amendments
Any member of the Augustana Art Club can propose amendments to the constitution. The Amendment is brought to the members by the club’s officers and faculty advisor for a vote. With a majority vote by the members the amendment is finally ratified.
