Constitution for Augustana Ultimate Frisbee Club

Article I. Name
The official name of this organization shall be the Augustana Ultimate Frisbee Club.

Article II. Purpose
The purpose of this club shall be:
1. To introduce Augustana students, staff, and faculty and community to this “sport of the future.”
2. To provide members an opportunity to play and improve their skills.

Article III. Faculty Advisor
The club has chosen Mark Hecht to be the Faculty Advisor to the club.

Article IV. Membership
Membership is available to Augustana students, faculty, staff, and community

Article V. Officers
The club shall elect members yearly to fill the position of President and Vice-President. The duties of the President include:
1. Working with the Faculty Advisor to organize and lead meetings and practices.
2. Working with the Faculty and members of the club to make all decision regarding the club.
3. Representing the club to the rest of the Augustana community in the following capacities:
a. Attending Presidents’ Council meetings held by the ASA President (or designating another member of the club to attend in his/her absence).
b. Attending Recreational Services or ASA meetings when appropriate.
c. Serving as an organizational contact for the campus.
The duties of the Vice President include assisting the President in his/her duties and to preside as the acting President when the elected President is absent.

Article VI. Dues
As it has not been necessary for the Augustana Ultimate Frisbee Club to purchase equipment as a group, there are presently no membership dues. However, it is understood that members will share any expenses incurred during a Club activity, such as travel expenses. Furthermore, the club has requested money from the Augustana Student Association. Any future requests will take into account the policy other sports club have adopted of not asking ASA to provide more the 40% of the budget.

Article VII. Amendments
This constitution may be amended by majority vote of the members as deemed necessary. Each member’s vote will be count as one vote. The Augustana Student Association will be informed immediately of nay changed in the form of the modified constitution.
