Ace is the Augie Doggie, sponsored by Nyberg’s Ace. He is an English cream golden retriever and came to Augustana through B-Squad Dog Rescue in Brandon, South Dakota. Ace engages with students and staff, attends various university events and serves as a goodwill ambassador for the university. When Ace is not bringing joy to the AU community, he enjoys finding sticks in the grass and seeking out the squeakiest toys.

Rachael Flagstad joined Augustana University as the Director of Enrollment Marketing & Communications in November 2022. A 2011 graduate of Augustana, Flagstad has had the opportunity to work in a variety of communications, public relations and marketing positions. Some of these experiences include roles at higher education institutions, non-profit organizations and state government agencies.

Jill Wilson earned a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism and political science with minors in English and history from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2007, Wilson joined the ABC affiliate, KLKN-TV, in Lincoln as a sports and news reporter, as well as a producer. From 2011, she moved back home to Sioux Falls and joined the NBC affiliate, KDLT News, where she was an anchor, reporter and producer for seven years. Before joining Augustana in November of 2019, she worked for a clothing boutique in Sioux Falls as a photographer and digital content specialist.
