Chapel of Reconciliation
The Chapel of Reconciliation was built in 1981 and seats 500.
It serves as the center for ministry, worship and outreach for the
College. The typical week during the academic year includes chapel
on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (including the Eucharist), and Friday
with a worship service on Sunday. Chapel programming is under the
direction of the campus pastor and the Augustana Student Congregation.
The building contains a 40-rank tracker-action organ, and artwork
by former Augustana professors. On the building's lower level are
the offices of the South Dakota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America. |
