The Fantle Building
The Fantle Building houses the College's Center for Western Studies,
the newest facility on campus, dedicated in 2001. The Center exists
to “interpret the history and culture of the northern plains” through
community outreach, publishing, and research. Impressive displays
of Native American life and of the College's Norwegian heritage
are contained in the facility, as well as priceless artifacts and
art work.
The Center sponsors The Boe Forum, an impressive lecture series
that brings to campus leaders of international reputation. Past
speakers have included Colin Powell, President George Bush, John
Major, Barbara Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev, Desmond Tutu, and Queen
Nor of Jordan.
