Gilbert Science Center
Gilbert Science Center is recognized as one of the finest educational
science facilities in the upper Midwest. Built in 1966 and named
after benefactor Gerhard A. Gilbert, it is home to the Natural Science
Division. The Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Nursing, Computer Science,
and Mathematics Departments are located here.
In addition to a computer lab, it contains other laboratories that
are very well equipped and include microcomputers, an isotope ratio
mass spectrometer, a nuclear magnetic resonance instrument, a scanning
electron microscope, and a Newtonian reflecting telescope.
