Augustana wireless setup using Eduroam
** See this documentation for instructions on connecting your other devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, etc.
Windows 10 Laptop

Open a browser and go to cat.eduroam.org

Click the “Click here to download your eduroam installer” blue box at the bottom.

Choose Augustana University from the list. It should be one of the first entries if you are on campus. If you don’t see it - use the search box at the bottom.

The system should recognize the operating system you are using. Click the Download your eduroam install button.

The file will download to your computer. You may have to approve it. (Keep)

Open the downloaded file and Run it. There may be 2 other boxes where you will need to approve the installation.

User credentials - Enter your campus username followed by our institutional location @augie.edu (students - do not use @ole.augie.edu. For this you will use just your username and @augie.edu)

Enter your Augustana password in each password box

Click Install & Finish

Find eduroam in your list of wireless networks and make sure it is chosen as your current network

If you had previously been connected to AU Secure - find that in the list and uncheck “Join Automatically”
Apple/Mac computer

Click on the wireless icon in the top Apple menu bar.

Click on eduroam in the list of wireless networks

You will be prompted for a username and password. Enter your campus username followed by our institutional location @augie.edu (students - do not use @ole.augie.edu. For this you will use just your username and @augie.edu)

You may be prompted to trust a certificate. Go ahead and click the Trust button in the upper right.

You are now connected to the Eduroam network and will only need to login again if prompted.

If connection fails, open your Setting app and see if there is a certificate waiting to be installed. Install the certificate and continue

iPhone or iPad

Go to the Settings gear on your device

Choose wi-fi

Click on eduroam in the list of wireless networks

You will be prompted for a username and password. Enter your campus username followed by our institutional location @augie.edu

You may be prompted to trust a certificate. Go ahead and click the Trust button in the upper right.

You are now connected to the Eduroam network and will only need to login again if prompted.
Android/Chromebook
If you know you will be traveling to other eduroam campuses - you may want to connect using the app instead. Those instructions follow the manual instructions.

Instructions for these devices will vary by carrier, model and OS.
Note: Android settings can be found in various places depending on your device. Some may be found under Advanced Settings
Note: If you have problems with the following instructions, turn your phone to Airplane mode and turn wireless back on.
The items in red may not be needed on some devices.

Tap eduroam in your wireless list

Identity - username@augie.edu

If it asks for a domain

Tap Connect
OR Connect by installing the App
Go to the Play Store and download and install the eduroamCAT app
Follow the instructions for connecting

Open Play Store and search for “eduroam CAT”

Select Install. Open App.

Allow access for eduroamCAT.

Select Augustana University. If you don’t see that option, tap Manual Search and look up Augustana University. It might take a few seconds.

Select the configuration for Augustana.

Allow access for eduroamCAT.

Click Install.
-
Click Yes.

Enter your campus username followed by our institutional location @augie.edu. (students - don’t use @ole.augie.edu)

Enter your Augustana password.

Click Install.
-
Now you should be connected to eduroam.
