New Gallery Exhibit Features Augustana Alumnus

Kiel Mutschelknaus, a 2007 graduate of Augustana College, is returning to Augustana’s Eide/Dalrymple Gallery for his first major solo exhibition. “A Kiel Mutschelknaus Retrospective: The Early Years” runs through Saturday, Feb. 5. A closing reception with the artist will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4.

Mutschelknaus’ work combines drawing, graphic design and installation in a playful and edgy approach.

Mutschelknaus is a graduate of Brandon Valley High School. After receiving his degree from Augustana, he worked as a graphic designer for Fresh Produce, a Sioux Falls-based advertising agency. He currently resides in Michigan where he is an MFA candidate at the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
