Economics students are encouraged to explore Augustana’s study abroad opportunities and other off-campus study programs. The length of study can range from a month to a semester to an academic year.
Professor Nesiba frequently takes students to Australia to study the development and performance of the Australian economy in a world undergoing rapid globalization.
Augustana is a member of the Higher Education Consortium on Urban Affairs, through which we participate in rigorous study abroad and off-campus learning. We’ve also sent many of our students around the world through the Upper Midwest Association for Intercultural Education.
Economics majors also have the opportunity to see how economic theories play out in the real world as they participate in internships.
