Augustana has a dedicated staff member serving alumni and friends in the greater Twin Cities area of Minnesota.
The Augustana University community is invited to participate in its annual Giving Day on Friday, May 10. We encourage you to "Give Boldly" with a goal of reaching $500,000 to support of Augustana's strategic plan, Viking Bold: The Journey to 2030.

Augustana University’s campus will soon gain a multitude of new trees, thanks to Joe ‘75 and Jennifer (Frerichs) Kirby ‘93. The Kirbys have committed to contributing 10 trees per year over the next five years, beginning in May.
Erik Colstrup said it was never his dream to become an ice technician. However, caring for the ice quickly became his passion after hanging up his hockey skates in college. Now, that passion has brought him to Sioux Falls, where he is the man behind a lot of the magic at Midco Arena — the home of the Augustana University Division I Men’s Hockey Program, as well as Men’s and Women’s Club Hockey and Club Figure Skating.
In August 2023, Augustana University received an estate gift worth $660,000 to provide resources to student-led environmental sustainability initiatives. While estate gifts aren’t out of the ordinary, this one was different — Dr. Donald H. Nelson had no known connections to Augustana.
