Application deadline is Oct. 15 for the spring program and March 15 for the fall.
Norwegian Nursing Exchange students should apply through the application portal:
- Create an application account and then complete and submit the free international student application.
- Submit a copy of your Norwegian University College Transcripts (Karakterutskrift).
- Submit a copy of a passport information page that includes name, date of birth and photo.
- Submit a two-page professional essay including:
- Summary of experiences in nursing and previous clinical settings
- Goals for professional practice in the future
- Goals for an experience at Augustana
After official admission to Augustana University and the nursing program, admitted students will submit the following completed forms electronically to nursing@augie.edu by Dec. 1 for spring and May 1 for fall.
- Required Immunization Form - Request that the doctor's office fill out and sign this document.
- Physical Exam Form - Request that the doctor's office fill out and sign this document.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Verification Form - Request that the home university's nursing program office verify and sign this document.
- Letter from home university indicating that they have on file a Certificate of Good Conduct (police background check) issued by police authorities in the student's hometown.
Because of the partnership between Augustana and Norwegian partners, the admission paperwork process has been reduced. Nursing exchange students do not have to complete submission of a letter of recommendation, submission of SAT/ACT/TOEFL/IELTS score results, submission of a high school transcript or a financial aid form.
