Augustana Alumni Association

Alumni at AU

Augustana University provides an education of enduring worth for its students. Upon graduation, that same enduring worth continues as Augustana graduates are immediately considered members of the Augustana Alumni Association.

Composed of more than 35,000 alumni, the Augustana Alumni Association fosters a lifelong connection between alumni and Augustana through ongoing engagement and communication. Augustana's graduates live in all 50 states and more than 67 foreign countries.

Alumni Council

The Augustana Alumni Council serves as the leadership for the Augustana Alumni Association. Service on the council is an opportunity to serve, elevate and share AU's vision with alumni, friends, organizations and potential students. Membership applications are accepted year round. Prospective members must complete an application and interview process to be considered for membership, which is voted on by the council. Members may serve up to two consecutive 4-year terms.

Meet the Director of Alumni Engagement

Lauren Teller '24 is responsible for keeping alumni, families and friends connected to and actively engaged with Augustana University through programming and event management.

Teller is a Sioux Falls native and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English, government & international affairs and Spanish from Augustana. Before coming back home to AU, she spent time in Washington, D.C., working as a policy analyst for a tech and telecommunication law firm.

The Augustana University Eide/Dalrymple Gallery presents “Chad Nelson: Fires in the Dark,” a Master of Art Education thesis exhibition — on view through Thursday, June 18. Free and open to the public, a reception for “Fires in the Dark” will take place in the Center for Visual Arts on Friday, June 5, from 6-8 p.m.

When an alumna was diagnosed with T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia, her fellow Augustana classmates didn’t think twice about rallying around her. Two Augustana alumnae — who had never even met — came together to be by their friend’s side.

Donovan DeJong ‘93 has been named the 2026 Augie Pride Award winner. He was recognized on Wednesday, April 29, at the university’s annual Service Awards & Retirement Recognition Ceremony in the Ordal Dining Hall of Morrison Commons. Since 1999, the Augie Pride Award has been given to employees who go the extra mile to provide exceptional service to the university.
