Spring semester is winding down — and a Survival Kit full of snack items is just what students need to help combat the stress of endless tests during the dreaded finals week!

The Student Council for Exceptional Children (SCEC) offers you the opportunity to purchase a Finals Week Survival Kit for the student of your choice, as we have done for more than 20 years!

While supporting your Augie student, you are supporting SCEC, an organization that develops awareness and understanding of children and adults with disabilities. Funds raised go toward cooking with individuals with disabilities living in group homes, hosting dances and carnivals for school students with disabilities, and providing valuable learning opportunities for eligible SCEC members.

Many colleges offer expensive, prepackaged finals kits, but we purchase the items at wholesale, assemble the kits, and hand-deliver them to your loved one. Our volunteers are Augie SCEC members and a group of spectacular high school students with disabilities who all work together.

Each Survival Kit costs just $12 and will contain items** such as:

• Apple or Orange
• Microwave Popcorn
• M&Ms
• Hot Chocolate
• Granola Bar
• Fruit Snacks
• Gum
• Cheese and Crackers
• Mechanical Pencil
• Pen

**If your student has a health concern (diabetes, allergies, etc.), we will adapt the Survival Kit to meet the students needs. Please note any modifications on your order.

Order your Survival Kit by Thursday, May 9 — kits will be delivered on Saturday, May 11, a few days before finals begin!

Consider purchasing one for your child’s roommate, friends, or an international student ... or would you just like to donate to SCEC? All are possible with our online form. Semester finals can be tough — give your student encouragement for the week.
