Biography 

Dr. Kerry Mallini received her B.S. in psychology from Furman University. She earned a master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Florida and an Ed.D. in educational leadership studies from the University of Kentucky. Mallini is a board-certified neurologic specialist, and her clinical practice has focused on serving those with various neurologic and vestibular dysfunction in the outpatient and home health settings. Her research interests include teaching and learning in physical therapy education, leadership and functional recovery and quality of life issues after neurologic injury. Her research has been presented at the regional, national and international levels, and she is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Florida Physical Therapy Association.

 

Mallini has been in physical therapy education for the past 14 years. She is passionate about facilitating a culture and environment where students feel safe to learn and are engaged through innovative teaching methodologies. Mallini teaches in the content areas of evidence based practice, professional competencies, clinical neuroscience, neuromuscular practice and innovation & entrepreneurship.

 

Mallini lives in Florida with her husband and three daughters. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, exercising, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
