Augustana DPT Program

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Why a DPT?

The fully-accredited Augustana University Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a 2-year accelerated, hybrid program that prepares its graduates with the skills needed to advance and lead within the physical therapy profession. The Augustana DPT Program blends online education, hands-on lab immersions and clinical education to reach students in their chosen communities across the country.

  • The hybrid learning model brings together students and faculty from diverse backgrounds to learn with and from one another.
  • Students can choose from two programs: DPT-MN begins in the fall and provides lab immersions in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and DPT-CO will soon begin accepting students for its inaugural cohort in January 2027 — providing lab immersions in Colorado.
  • Clinical education provides students with exposure to a wide range of physical therapy practice settings and patient populations across the lifespan.

Augustana DPT Graduates will be prepared to sit for the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and serve their diverse communities.
