Water Safety Instructors
Instructors teach a variety of Red Cross certified classes ranging from Toddlers through Adult. An American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate is required for upper levels, preferred for all. School year lessons are once a week for eight weeks on Monday, Wednesday, or Thursdsay nights, or Saturday mornings. Summer lessons are four times a week (Mon-Thur) for two weeks (both morning and evening times).
These individuals assist the instructors in the water with children, as well as on the pool deck. Lifeguard certification preferred, but not required.
Lifeguards are needed for open recreation time as well as during our youth swim lesson program. Lifeguards must have a current Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
