  • Center for Western Studies June Event to Feature 'Adventures of a Private Collector'

    The Center for Western Studies 23rd annual June Event, “Adventures of a Private Collector,” will feature a discussion by local art collector Larry Ness, chief executive officer and chairman of the board for First Dakota National Bank and president of First Dakota Financial Corporation.

  • Augustana Earns Second NSIC/US Bank All-Sports Award

    With four NSIC championships on the year, including men's cross country, women's cross country, women's golf and women's tennis, Augustana is the top athletics program in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference for the second-consecutive season. The College earned the 2011-12 NSIC/US Bank All-Sports Award with 135.5 points.

    As diagnoses of Autism continue to increase, two nationally known experts on autism spectrum disorders will be in Sioux Falls to speak at the "Lighting the Way: Autism Spectrum Disorders in Our Community" conference, set for June 6-8, at Augustana's Gilbert Science Center.

    Seven Augustana College seniors have been awarded Departmental Honors in Modern Foreign Languages in recognition of superior achievement in French, German and Spanish.

  • Students Take Home Honors at ACS National Meeting

    Junior Bailey Jackson and senior Neal Gregerson were honored and Augustana’s Student Chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) was recognized at the ACS National Meeting held recently in San Diego, Calif.

  • Upcoming Season of 'Time Team America' to Feature Dr. Adrien Hannus

    Dr. Adrien Hannus, professor of anthropology and director of the Archeology Laboratory at Augustana, will participate in the second season of "Time Team America," a science-reality series from PBS that sends archaeologists on a race against time to excavate historic sites around the nation.

  • 346 to Participate in 2012 Commencement

    Three-hundred and forty-six students will participate in the commencement ceremony honoring the class of 2012, set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, at the Sioux Falls Arena. Doors will open at 1 p.m. for seating.
