Athletic Events

Most athletic events are free to employees with an Augustana ID.

Ole's Outlet Discount

Employees may receive a 20% discount on supplies, clothing and gift items that are all available at Ole's Outlet (with a few exceptions).

Chapel Service

The mission of Augustana College is to serve as a Christian educational community. Time is incorporated in the workday to encourage chapel attendance. This time is in addition to normal breaks.

Child Care — Campus Learning Center (Day Care)

The Augustana Campus Learning Center offers child care and preschool for children between the ages of 12 months and 5 years.  The cost varies dependent on the age of the child.

Computer Laboratories

Computer laboratories are available for employee use at various locations on campus. This benefit is at no cost to the employee.

Dining Service

The cafeteria offers a variety of hot and cold entrees. For employees, meal plans are available in blocks of 5 through our dining services office. The dining services also accomodates catering needs including baked goods for all occassions.

Jury Duty

If called to jury duty, regular salary is earned in addition to court payment.

Mikkelsen Library

Mikkelsen Library serves as the information center for the Augustana University community through its development of a local collection, its support of the instructional process, its encouragement of independent learning and research, and its access to other sources of information. Members of the Augustana community are invited to use the library for work and pleasure.

Military Leave

Up to two weeks regular salary is earned per year in addition to military pay for Reserves or National Guard training.

Parking

Employee designated lots near Augustana provide parking at no cost to employees.

Public Events

Most public events sponsored by Augustana are free to employees or tickets are available. These events include the Boe Forum, Vespers, Concerts by the Augustana Band and Augustana Choir, along with additional concerts and music programs.

Recreational Services

Recreational services are available to Augustana employees and their immediate families.

The Recreational Services Learn To Swim Program is available to anyone in the Sioux Falls region.

With an Augustana ID, you can use the weight room, the pool, or check out recreational equipment. Also available is a walking/running track, indoor tennis, racketball, intramural events, and aerobic/fitness classes at no cost to you.

Success Center Resources

Career exploration resources are available to dependents of employees, including free career assessments, occupational information systems, and individual consultation.  Resources are described at http://www.augie.edu/career-exploration .

Theatre Productions

Tickets for theatre productions are free to those with an Augustana ID and one other family member.
