Augustana College's Writer-in-Residence, Dr. Patrick Hicks, will be reading his poetry on Saint Patrick's Day at Zandbroz Books at 7:00 p.m. His work has appeared in scores of international journals, and he has been nominated several times for the Pushcart Prize.

The artwork of Watertown, S.D., wildlife artist Joshua Spies will be displayed at the Center for Western Studies at Augustana College. His style is known as photo-realism—original acrylic and pencil drawings that look just like photographs.
Augustana students Kimberly Johnson (Sioux Falls) and Beth Singleton (Moorhead, MN) have been selected 2009 Peace Prize Forum Scholars. In August, Johnson and Singleton will be part of this select core of students traveling to Chiapas, Mexico.

Polaroid photographs and gelatin silver prints created by renowned artist Andy Warhol will be exhibited for the first time as a part of the “Highlights from the Carl Grupp Permanent Art Collection” exhibition, starting March 6.
