Teen Town

Teen Town

Serving and Learning Together (SALT) at Augustana University began coordinating Teen Town in 2012. Each year, the Teen Town committee raises funds to purchase holiday gifts for teenagers. While the Salvation Army’s Toy Town program provides gifts for children under 13, Teen Town fills the gap for youth ages 13–17.

Throughout the year, the committee hosts fundraisers to support this effort. When the holiday season arrives, they use those funds to buy gifts that families can select from during the Toy Town drive. The Salvation Army also provides meal vouchers so families can share a holiday dinner together.

Since Teen Town began, more than 5,500 gifts have been given to local teens. Donations are currently being accepted to help continue this meaningful tradition.
