Join us for a full weekend of events and don't miss the Blast, an all-Augustana reunion event recognizing the classes ending in 0 and 5.

#VikingDays — one of the best times to celebrate being an Augustana Viking!

The following schedule was from Viking Days 2019.

  • Viking Feast (for the campus community): 4:30-7 p.m., Elmen Center. Viking Feast, the all-campus picnic, kicks off Viking Days week with dinner and fun for the whole family.
  • Coronation: 7 p.m., Elmen Center. Crowning of the Viking Days King and Queen.
  • Student Activity: 4-7 p.m., Float Building, Humanities Parking Lot
  • Eide/Dalrymple Gallery Reception: 7-9 p.m., featuring a gallery talk beginning at 7:30 p.m. for “Life with the Arts: The Eide Ceramics Collection and Paintings and Drawings” by Augustana alumna and PVA Hall of Fame inductee, Diane (Hinsvark) Eide '58.
  • Cookies in the Outdoor Classroom: 9:30 a.m. at the new Outdoor Classroom (between Madsen and Froiland Science Complex). Dr. David O'Hara will be on hand to answer questions, explain the history and design of the classroom and discuss Augustana Sustainability's goals for the future.
  • Free donuts and HOT Coffee!  10 a.m. through the parade. Join your friends from the Alumni and Advancement Office. NEW LOCATION: in the Commons Concourse of Morrison Commons (across from mailboxes) for a quick hello and a yummy donut/coffee (while they last).
  • Homecoming Parade: 10:30 a.m., University Place (formerly 28th Street) to 33rd Street on Grange Avenue.
    • To accommodate the parade, no parking will be allowed on the parade route effective 6 a.m. until the end of the parade.
      • 28th Street (University Place) — From Prairie to Grange avenues
      • Grange Avenue — From 26th to 33rd streets

  • Visit Heritage Park: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Heritage Park is a collection of historic Great Plains buildings dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Its facilities will be open for visitation and tours during Viking Days. Stop by Heritage Park, located on the south side of the Augustana campus, on your way to the football game. Here you will see the Rolvaag Writing Cabin, the Berdahl/Rolvaag House, Eggers Country School and Beaver Creek Lutheran Church. Admission is free.
  • Alumni Band Reunion/Pep Band Rehearsal: 11:15 a.m., Lillehaug Instrumental Room. Band alumni are invited to participate in the pep band, under the direction of Dr. Larry Petersen, during the Vikings football game.
  • Viking Days Alumni and A-Club Tailgate: 11 a.m., Augieville (outside Kirkeby-Over Stadium). All alumni, friends and family are welcome to join us before the big game. There will be games and inflatables for the kids and fantastic lunch for everyone! Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children (through 8th-grade) and will be available at the event.
  • Viking Football vs. St. Cloud State 1 p.m., Kirkeby-Over Stadium. Tickets are available at
  • Eide/Dalrymple Gallery featuring works by Diane Eide: 1-4 p.m., “Life with the Arts: The Eide Ceramics Collection and Paintings and Drawings” by Augustana alumna and PVA Hall of Fame inductee, Diane (Hinsvark) Eide '58.
  • Alumni Choir Rehearsal: 4:30 p.m., Hamre Recital Hall (formerly Kresge Recital Hall), Humanities Building. All choir alumni are invited to sing under the direction of Dr. Paul Nesheim, director of The Augustana Choir. Alumni will sing with The Augustana Choir at Viking Days worship on Sunday in the Chapel of Reconciliation.
  • Student Activity: Speed Painter Mike Debus, 5-7 p.m. in the Morrison Commons Ordal Dining Room.
  • Alumni Achievement Awards & Blast: 5:30 p.m. Alumni Achievement Awards, 6:30 p.m. Blast at the Orpheum Theater. Join us at 5:30 p.m. to honor and celebrate this year's Alumni Achievement and Horizon award winners. After the alumni achievement awards program, join us for an all-Augustana celebration complete with food, fun, dancing and prizes! The milestone reunion years ending in 4's and 9's will also be recognized. $15 early bird/$20, $25 at door. Registration required.
  • Viking Days Worship: 10 a.m., Chapel of Reconciliation. Join us for this festive worship service with campus pastor Rev. Paul Rohde and music by The Augustana Choir and the Augustana Orchestra.
  • Viking Days Brunch: 11:30 a.m., Ordal Dining Room, Morrison Commons. Tickets are $14/adults and $8.25/kids under 7, and are available at the door.
  • Viking Women's Soccer vs. Upper Iowa 1 p.m. Morstad Field. Tickets available at the gate.
