To study art at Augustana University is to join a vibrant creative community within an accredited program — the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). Housed in a 24/7, state-of-the-art facility, the Augustana art program offers close mentorship from accomplished faculty who truly know their students and support the growth of their artistic voice — helping them transform their dreams and professional goals into a meaningful, sustainable and creative career path.

Students come to see more clearly how art lives and breathes — through encounters with its histories, its many cultural expressions and the careful shaping of design. By learning to look closely, think critically and create with intention, students discover art as a meaningful pursuit. Grounded in drawing and design, the program builds a strong, shared foundation from which every creative path can grow.
