Department of Campus Safety

Augustana College is committed to providing an environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of each individual.

Campus Safety and Security at Augustana College is a shared responsibility.  Clearly; one of the best protections is an aware, informed, alert campus community - students, faculty and staff who use reason and caution - along with a professional security presence.

The Department of Campus Safety office is located on the first floor of the Morrison Commons, and officers are available 24 hours a day year round, including weekends and holidays, to provide protection and service to students, staff and visitors. The Campus Safety Officers also provide a variety of services to the campus community.

The professional staff of the Department of Campus Safety are dedicated to serving the campus community and work hand in hand with our community partners to address safety issues on and around the campus.  The Department of Campus Safety is committed to enhancing the quality of life of the campus community, integrating the best practices of public and private policing with state-of-the-art security technology.

The Department of Campus Safety web site is designed to provide you information regarding the safety of the campus community and to assist you in playing a role in keeping this a great place to learn, work and live.

All members of the campus community are encouraged to immediately report any suspicious or criminal activity to Campus Safety at 605.274.4014. For emergencies, dial 911 from campus phones.
