Augustana College strives to ensure the privacy and accuracy of your confidential information. In order to establish and maintain our relationship with you, we require you to provide us with information that personally identifies you ("Personal Information"). Personal Information may include (i) contact data (such as your first and last name, home or other physical address, email address, and telephone number), and (ii) financial data (such as your credit card number).
For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the visitor's domain name, but not the e-mail address. The confidential data you submit is encrypted using industry-standard SSL encryption. Furthermore, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access and is never sold, traded or rented for commercial purposes to other organizations. Augustana may disclose nonpublic personal information about its customers to non-affiliated third parties with whom it has contracted to perform services on its behalf, such as printing, mailing, and data processing services. Augustana may also disclose nonpublic personal information about its customers as permitted or required by law.
With respect to Ad Servers: We do not currently partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.
From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will post the policy changes to our Web site to notify you of these changes. If we are going to use visitors’ personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection, we will notify visitors by posting a notice on our Web site for 30 days prior to using that data. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our Web site periodically.
Upon request, we provide site visitors with access to their contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number) and a description of information that we maintain about them. Visitors can access this information and have this information corrected by calling us at the above telephone number.
With respect to security: When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information such as financial information, we redirect visitors to a secure server.
