On Friday, Sept. 18, Augustana University celebrated the rededication of the Chapel of Reconciliation following the completion of a $4.4 million donor-funded renovation and expansion project — renewing a space that has served as a place for worship, reflection and community for more than four decades.
Augustana University students Lilly Roberts ‘26, Vanessa Romero ‘26 and Jessalyn Wienk ‘27 are the 2025-26 recipients of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, which supports students nationwide, helping them in developing language and culture skills that are important to their academic and career growth.
Augustana University has recently been awarded a $5 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. for the “promotion and support of religious, educational or charitable purposes.” Augustana is one of 48 recipients in Lilly Endowment’s National Storytelling Initiative on Christian Faith and Life 2025.
With support from Lilly Endowment, Augustana will launch a 5-year storytelling initiative, “Sacred Discoveries: Stories of Christian Flourishing in College.”
