South Dakota law has caused people from across the country to change the location of their trusts to the state. This has created an increased need for experts in the field. As a response to this need, Augustana introduced the trust minor in Fall 2025.
The trust minor minor aims to offer Rydell School of Business students another avenue to study as a potential career. Available at only a handful of colleges nationwide, the program provides multiple pathways for success. At the core of the program are three courses, including Wills, Trusts & Estates, Financial Planning: Trusts, Estates & Gifts, as well as Trust Administration.
